FAQs: Embodied Coaching

  • Embodied Executive Coaching is a holistic, somatic and trauma-informed approach to leadership and executive coaching. 


    The aim is to reach lasting, sustainable success in your role as a leader, changemaker, and/or founder—as well as fulfillment in all other areas of your life—but our way to achieve this is through the “inside out”: we start with your body and what it knows, what it envisions, and what is holding it back and move from there, healing wounds, releasing pain and trauma, and finding wholeness as we explore how to manifest these breakthroughs in your work, love life, and community.

  • Embodied Executive Coaching is for everyone. However, I work predominantly with female founders, entrepreneurs, leaders, changemakers, and community generators.

  • Embodied executive coaching appears similar to conventional executive or leadership coaching, but it is driven as much by engaging in powerful mindfulness, embodiment, and somatic practices as it is by typical cognitive coaching and mindset interventions.

  • The somatic practices I use include: 

    • Recognizing and utilizing physiological and somatic markers in sense-making and decision-making

    • Guided visualization for nervous system regulation and emotional agility

    • Working with and shaping somatic felt senses and sensations (what neuroscientists call “interoception”)

    • Using breathwork for nervous system mastery and healing

    • Working with the voice and “sounding”

    • Using repetitive movements called, kriyas to shift old physical, emotional and mental patterns

    • EMDR techniques like tapping and eye movements

    • Unleashing the creative spark through flow states

    • Connecting to one's innate wisdom for self-healing, self-transformation, and intuition for strategy and decision-making

    • Feeling your unique bodily signals of fight, flight, freeze or collapse to shift into settled and responsive states of being and working 

  • Sessions last for 90 minutes.

  • Virtually via Zoom plus WhatsApp support in between the sessions.
